I am deeply honoured to be here today at the Bucharest University of Economic Studies, and to receive this prestigious Honorary Doctorate. I extend my sincere gratitude to the Rector, the Senate and the entire university community for this recognition, which I accept with humility on behalf of 1.4 billion Indians, as a reflection of the enduring friendship between the peoples of India and Romania.

I am delighted to attend the India–Romania Business Forum today. I extend my appreciation to the Government of Romania, the business associations for their hard work in organizing this gathering and also to the members of leading companies from the countries present here today. The participation of large Indian business delegation reflects the growing confidence of Indian industries in the opportunities that Romania offers and their desire to build enduring partnerships with Romanian businesses. India and Romania have enjoyed warm and friendly relations for over seven decades.

At the outset, I would like to express my sincere gratitude to His Excellency President Dan, the Government of Romania and the people of Romania for the warm welcome and gracious hospitality extended to me and my delegation.

It gives me great pleasure to visit Romania at the invitation of His Excellency President Dan. This is the first visit by an Indian President to Romania in more than three decades.

I am delighted to unveil this bust of Mahatma Gandhi at the Museum of the City of Skopje. I thank the Government of North Macedonia, and the Museum of the city of Skopje for making arrangements for this occasion.

It gives me great pleasure to address this gathering in the historic and vibrant city of Skopje. I bring with me the greetings and goodwill of the 1.4 billion people of India. I thank the Government of North Macedonia and business associations of both countries for organizing this event.

This is the first bilateral visit by a President of India to North Macedonia, which shows the keen interest of India to engage with North Macedonia in all areas of mutual interest. I also have with me in my delegation our Minister of State and two distinguished Indian Parliamentarians.

I stand before you today to convey the profound goodwill of 1.4 billion of your brothers and sisters in India – the largest democracy in the world. I also have with me our Minister of State and two distinguished Indian Parliamentarians.

I thank my host, Her Excellency the President of North Macedonia for her generosity and hospitality. I am also grateful you, Mr Speaker, for giving me the opportunity to address this august House.

This is the first ever State visit by an Indian President to North Macedonia since the establishment of our diplomatic relations. I am confident that this visit will herald a new chapter in our bilateral relationship.

I am delighted to undertake this State Visit to the Republic of Moldova at the invitation of President Maia Sandu. This is the first-ever State Visit by an Indian President to the Republic of Moldova. It marks a historic milestone in our bilateral relations and reflects the growing friendship and mutual trust between our two countries.

It gives me immense pleasure to attend the India–Moldova Business Forum today. I thank you all for your presence here including representatives of leading businesses from India and Moldova along with members of Business Associations and ‘Invest Moldova’.

My visit to Moldova as the first State visit by an Indian President reflects India's commitment to deepening engagement with Moldova in all spheres including political, economic, cultural and people-to-people ties.
